We all know that animal testing
unfortunately occurs in the world, but could
we ever possibly imagine that it could be this
horrific?
Huntingdon Life Sciences
are an animal testing laboratory established
in the late 1950's. They are based in Europe,
with facilities in Huntingdon, Cambridge shire,
Eye, Suffolk and New Jersey, America.
The animals used by HLS
consists of rats, mice, pigs, cows, sheep, monkeys,
fish, birds, rabbits, cats and dogs for products
such as weed killers, pesticides, industrial
chemicals, food additives, pharmaceuticals,
plastics, and artificial perfumes.
Former employees of HLS
have revealed the sad and shocking truth about
what goes on behind closed doors, and It's very
disturbing. Pictures and video’s taken
undercover, reveal dogs and cats with severe,
bloody, flesh wounds from anti-psoriatic creams
and chemicals. Puppies being beaten, jabbed
with needles and told to "shut-up"
and "F*n sit still". Monkeys being
operated on whilst they are still conscious!
And animals crouching in their cages in extreme
fear and pain. These people are also responsible
for forcing animals to ingest and inhale toxic
chemicals, cannabis and nicotine. The pregnant
rabbits these were tested on all died, as did
their babies. The dogs they test them on often
pass out, vomit blood, or in many cases, they
die in the small sling they stand in while fumes
are forced into their mouths using tubes.
And what for?! NOTHING.
Not only do the tests result in immense fear,
pain, and death for these defenseless animals,
but numerous sources have revealed that the
testing is inaccurate, procedures aren't performed
correctly, people are dying as a result of drugs
that shouldn't have even been approved, and
in the end, this is simply just an easy way
for companies to get their unsafe products on
the market.
The Campaign against HLS is
continuing to grow.
With much raised awareness, animal
activist groups have come together and fought
against Huntingdon Life Sciences and all that
they stand for. A list of companies who have
dumped HLS is continuing to grow as revealed
on www.shac.net,
with not only the realisation of the abuse,
but also because of it's plummeting financial
situation. Results just aren't happening for
this company, and tests are failing in a big
way. There are now a large number of animal
liberation support groups around the world who
have invested their time and effort in shutting
down these labs and with constant awareness,
and any luck, this just might happen in the
near future. We can only pray.
