Every year, in various
Asian countries, cats and dogs are slaughtered
in millions in archaic and barbarous ways. Thousands
of « artisanal » cats and dogs slaughterhouses
are swarming in Asia : Southern Korea, Philippines,
China, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.
Only in the North
Eastern Thailand, at least 30,000 dogs are killed
every month. In the Philippines a small artisanal
slaughterhouse can kill more than two hundred
cats a day. In conditions of imprisonment, the
animals are crammed in tiny and insalubrious cages
where they can hardly move.

In that way, on
the labels of the greatest part of the clothes
made in Asia (such as coats, hats, handbags,
purses, gloves, gardening gloves, slippers,
shoes, collars...) and of the other articles
such as toys, decorations, figurines, drums,
small skin articles ( including sport articles),
gardening articles, skin used in the cars, orthopedic
articles or accessories of any kinds made of
skin or fur that we can find in our stores in
Northern America under the name of « Genuine
Fur » or « Genuine Leather »
( so these articles are made of fur and skin
of an imprecise origin ).

In fact, ADIDAS
uses kangoroo skin for football footwear. Approximately
6 millions kangaroos will be executed in 2003,
especially for their flesh for making hand bags,
baseball gloves and football footwear. So we
ask ADIDAS to stop participating in that carnage
to fabricate these goods, otherwise we are not
going to buy their products anymore.
